Lower Division: Thursday, February 26th @ 6PM-ish - Old DDR/ITG difficulties 3-5Upper Division: Sunday, March 1st @ 1PM - ITG difficulties 8-10
Jeremy's Downtown Arcade (Nampa, ID)
Our annual DDR/ITG tournament returns for a 5th year! This time, we're splitting up the lower and upper divisions into separate days to try and make timing a little less chaotic and to make it easier for folks to join in the lower division (which is now scheduled during our monthly rhythm game night at Jeremy's!)
Our pads have recently been re-modded with high level ITG play in mind as well!
✔ Plan to attend? PLEASE REGISTER at https://idrhythm.group/itg!
Registration won't close any time soon, but the sooner you register the better!
Each round, a set of 5 songs/charts will be randomly picked from the Tech-Bit Adventures 5 pack on the cab, a newly added song pack filled with remixes of classic video game songs. Each player eliminates 1 song, then both players play the remaining 3 songs. Practice songs from this pack as much you can before the big day!
NOTE: Songs from this pack are rated in the old-school DDR/ITG difficulty scale, think DDR back on the PS2.
Newer DDR games (and all of the DDR content on the cab) rate their songs differently - this division is difficulties ~5-8 in DDR's modern scale.
On the cab, old-scale songs have yellow titles and new-scale songs have green ones.
Fanatik25 has once again created an upper division pack (which will be installed on the Simply Spud cab soon, and can be downloaded from #content-share in the discord), Idaho ITG Championship 2026! These chart difficulties range from 8-10 (ITG rating) and include various tech such as footswitches, crossovers, brackets, doublesteps, etc. The notations for what tech is used in each chart is written and abbreviated in the song title (FS, XO, BR, etc). Simply Love SM5 will be used.
As usual, we will be using ITGmania's EX scoring method. CMOD is not permitted in this division.
At the bottom of the pack is the qualifier chart: "Ghost Ship". Each upper division participant must play and submit their score using EX scoring before the tournament begins, on either arcade or home pads. Please post your qualifier score in #itg-qualifier-scores in the discord so that your tournament seed can be set. You can enable EX scoring via the player options menu.
The 7-song card draw will go as such for each round:
Higher seed decides if they want to ban first or pick P1 or P2 pad (for the sake of example, "Tav" is higher seed and will pick their pad first, and "Jay" will ban first)
Jay bans a chart (0 charts selected, 6 remain)
Tav bans a chart (0 charts selected, 5 remain)
Jay protects a chart (1 chart selected, 4 remain)
Tav protects a chart (2 charts selected, 3 remain)
Jay bans a chart (2 charts selected, 2 remain)
Tav bans a chart (2 charts selected, 1 remains)
The remaining chart serves as the 3rd song. Set order would be Jay's protect, Tav's protect, and the leftover song.
In each match, players are permitted to play one song from the designated warmup pack. Both players are not required to play a warmup song, so if only one player wishes to warmup, they are free to do so while the other player waits. If both players agree they do not need a warmup song, they may both choose to begin the card draw immediately and skip their warmup.
